Table Grapes Trade Deals Expand

This move seeks to foster trade, investment, and to innovate the agricultural sector in the country. Similarly, it will benefit Italy’s vegetable and fruit industry.

Francesco Lollobrigida, Italy’s Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, stated, “The opening of the South African market to Italian table grapes recognises the excellence and quality of our products and confirms the effectiveness of our diplomatic and commercial efforts.”

Currently, the agricultural trade value between the two nations exceeds R650 million annually. Agriculture Minister John Steenhuisen highlighted opportunities for further collaboration across South African provinces, including citrus, fishing, avocadoes, mangoes, nuts, dairy, and livestock industries.
